Feature Updates: Embeddable Project Widgets & New Progress Bars
We’re happy to announce today 2 new features and updates to Offbeatr. The first one is an update to the visual look of project progress bars. The second one is the ability to embed a project widget on any website or blog.
Embeddable Project Widgets
For any project on Offbeatr you now have the ability to copy an html code snippet which you can paste and embed on websites that you control. Adding a widget is a great way to add even more visibility to your project and help promote the projects you want to support.
How to embed
1) Locate the “embed” button beneath a project’s main project image. Click it.
2) Select the size widget you want.
3) Copy the code for the selected size:
4) Paste the code on the page, blog post, or website that you would like (keep in mind the website has to allow for adding your own html … and iframe tags):
There are 4 different sizes so play around with all of them to see which one makes the most sense for your website.
Updated Progress Bars
We’ve “sexified” the progress bar on projects.
The old progress bars (if you remember) looked like this:
After “sexification” the progress bars now look like this:
Also notice that a project ideas’ progress bars are different from active projects that are taking funding.
