Meet the Project: Come to Me When You Are Ready

Today we spoke with independent adult film producer and director, Erika Lust, about her Offbeatr project, Come to Me When You Are Ready.

How would you describe your project in 2 sentences?

It’s an indie adult movie about a woman and her rediscovering of her body and her sexuality. It’s going to be emotional, passional, sexy, funny, kinky… Maybe my most personal work.

Where did you get the idea for the story of “Come to Me When You Are Ready”?

From a divorced friend with two kids who lives in Barcelona.

How do you come up with your movie ideas? Are they based on real stories you hear from friends? News you read?

Real stories based on real friends! That’s my modus operandi.

You’ve said before that the feminine viewpoint is vital to the porn genre, what changes to a film when a female perspective is added?

A lot of things change. The story, the characters, the music, the sound, the casting, the decorations, the values, the story, THE STORY, THE STORY. Ther’s a story, finally me and other woman are showing that other kind of porn was possible.

Many of your films are shot in Europe. Are there strict rules and regulations on how porn films are made? If so, what kind of regulations?

NO special regulations, but I try to follow my own rules, based on respect and care of all women and men involved in the project.

If your project succeeds what do you hope will happen?

I will shoot in March 2013!
